Angela Lloyd

Angela Lloyd Angela Lloyd is a matchmaker of spoken word and music. Combining an eclectic listener's ear, a penchant for rhythm, and a photographer's eye, Angela draws us ever closer to the light and shadow of the stories she tells. A one woman band, Angela's performances are a whimsical braid of poetry, story, and song played on autoharp, tenor guitar, spoon, and bell. Her stories come from a variety of sources, including traditional world folktales, the oral tradition, contemporary poetry, personal experience, and the best in children's literature. Of her most recent recording, "Sandburg Out Loud," Booklist said "Fittingly Sandburg!" One of the unique performers on the national storytelling circuit today, she tours to regional and national venues for storytelling, theatre, and education.
